Dog-friendly hike at Shank’s Mare

The To the Dogs Hike at Shank’s Mare Outfitters invites dog-lovers and their leashed four-legged companions on a 6.5-mile adventure on the Mason-Dixon Trail.

The fun goes from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Shank’s Mare, 2092 Long Level Road, Lower Windsor Township. The event is considered a moderate-difficulty hike. Participants will receive a hot lunch (for the humans) and treats (for the dogs) after the hike.

The fee, which includes the hike and lunch, is $10 per person for members and $12 for nonmembers. Children 12 and under can participate for $6 for members and $7 for nonmembers.
