Spring Garden, Hanover bands in concert

The Spring Garden Band and the Hanover High School Concert Band will present a joint concert to benefit the school music program at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, in the high school auditorium, 401 Moul Ave., Hanover.

The Spring Garden Band will open the program with popular music, marches and other selections. Trombone soloist Clay Sattazahn will perform Morceau Symphonique and Bones Trombone with backing from the trombone section.

After an intermission, student musicians will join the band for more marches, traditional band pieces and a medley from The Lion King.

Tickets are $5. Proceeds will fund educational music field trips and repairs to the marching band trailer.

If inclement weather forces a postponement, the concert will be moved to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.
