Weekly picks: Ken Ludwig and Leading Ladies
It’s no surprise that York County takes pride in its success stories — the kids who go on, as adults, to make good on the promise they showed when we knew them way back when.
Playwright Ken Ludwig is one of those success stories, and he’s stopping in York to accept his accolades and inspire other artists during Ken Ludwig Day at York Little Theatre.
Learn more about Ludwig and his artistic journey in the York Weekend feature story.
Catch one of Ludwig’s plays — Leading Ladies, set in York — during two weekends at York Little Theatre, 27 S. Belmont St., Spring Garden Township. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3-4 and 9-11, with matinees at 3 p.m. Feb. 5 and 12. Ludwig will be in attendance Sunday, Feb. 5, with a question and answer session open to the public after the matinee performance. He will have copies of his anthology for purchase and will autograph them.
Tickets to the play are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors, $18 for students and $10 for children.
For all the details, visit the theater’s website or call (717) 854-5715.
In Extras, enjoy a night looking for owls or one looking at the stars, improve your fishing skills, watch sledders in cardboard creations, take the dogs for a hike, get a lesson in wildlife crime scenes, take in a concert or celebrate 15 years with DreamWrights.
