Two nights of dance at Alert Fire Hall

Alert Fire Hall, 3118 N. George St., Emigsville, plays host to not one but two nights of dancing this weekend.

First up, the York USA Dance night of ballroom dance begins with a tango lesson at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, and continues with dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. The Promenade Ballroom Formation Dance Team of Baltimore will give a special performance.

And on Saturday, Feb. 18, the German-American Society of York, Alpenrose, will host its Faschingstanz, a Mardi Gras dance celebration, from 7 to 11 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costume and dance to live music by the Polka Quads. Snacks, beer and soda are included in the ticket price.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door.
