William Erwin art exhibit at Mason-Dixon library
The artwork of William Erwin, a York Art Association member, will be featured in an exhibit running Friday, April 13, through Friday, May 4, at the Mason-Dixon Public Library, 250 Bailey Drive, Stewartstown.
A free reception will open the show from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 13.
Erwin works in primarily in oil painting and graphite.

Onion skins, blueberries, coffee and other natural color-producers will be used for the Natural Egg Dipping program at Nixon County Park, 5922 Nixon Drive, Springfield Township.
The program runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 6, in the park’s Nature Center. Participants, led by volunteer Jodi Sulpizio, will dye Easter eggs the natural way.
Pre-registration is required, and participants will need to wear old clothes and bring their own hard-boiled eggs to dye. The fee is $2 per person.

The Intergalactic Bead and Jewelry Show returns with materials, seminars and more for crafters from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18, in Horticultural Hall at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., West Manchester Township.
Admission is $5 on Saturday or $4 on Sunday.

York College will host two talks of interest to artists and graphic designers this month.
First up is “The Art of Etching in 18th-Century France” by Rena Hoisington of the Baltimore Museum of Art at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the Brossman Gallery.
Second is “Fonts and Fiction: Telling Stories About Graphic Design” by Ellen Lupton of the Maryland Institute College of Art at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in the DeMeester Recital Hall. A reception will run from 6 to 9 p.m. for the Lupton talk.
Both talks are open to the public and take place in the Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall building on campus, 441 Country Club Road, Spring Garden Township. Admission is free.

The York Jewish Community Center is offering a bus trip to the Jewish Museum of Maryland in Baltimore in March.
The trip, led by Rabbi Joan Lenowitz of the Ohev Sholom Congregation, is open to members of all faiths with an interest in Jewish cuisine. Participants will explore the exhibit Chosen Food: Cuisine, Culture and American Jewish Identity at the museum.
The bus will leave at 10 a.m. and return at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at the York JCC, 2000 Hollywood Drive, York Township.
The cost is $35 per person, which includes the bus trip and a docent-led tour of the exhibit. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the rest of the museum and get lunch at nearby kosher-style delis on their own.

The Original 158th Semi-Annual York Antiques Show and Sale features 96 exhibitors with furniture, jewelry, rugs, toys, porcelain and more.
The show lasts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, in Memorial Hall East at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., West Manchester Township.
