The second weekend of District 3 football playoff action begins on Friday.
Six York-Adams League teams are still involved -- Central and South
Western in Class AAAA, West York in Class AAA, Delone Catholic and
Littlestown in Class AA and York Catholic in Class A. All six will have
games at 7 p.m. Friday. For the complete schedule, visit the sports
section. Tickets in advance are $5 for adults and $3 for students. All
tickets at the gate will be $5.
--- The York College men's soccer
team will take part in an NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16 match
at 11 a.m. Saturday at home against Williams College. In another Sweet
16 match in York, Christopher Newport will take on Stevens Tech at 1:30
p.m. Saturday. The York-Williams winner will then play the Christopher
Newport-Stevens Tech winner at 1 p.m. Sunday in a quarterfinal contest,
also in York. The winner of that game will advance to the Final Four.
